概要	Japan has its energy mix policy, which was affected by epoch incidents. Nowadays, climate change, caused by emissions of greenhouse gas (GHG), becomes a serious global issue. Japan needs to tackle the issue to reduce GHG emission. In order to reduce GHG emission, the Japanese government adopted nuclear power development plan. However, the 2011 Tohoku Great Earthquake occurred. Tsunami hit Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant. Renewable energy (RE) has been drawn more attention. The Japanese government adopted Feed-In-Tariff (FIT) in 2011. FIT accelerates RE penetrations in Japan. The number of RE projects is highly likely to increase. Project management is key to project success. There are some project risks to delay. This paper focuses on RE projects in Japan to clarify the characteristics of the project and identify the project risks. Three hypotheses are finally proposed.
